Description:
The insect has an ovate body, with a flat ventral surface and a convex dorsal surface. It is pale stramineous in color, with black eyes. The hemelytra, or forewings, are of a sordid grey shade. In males, there is a distinctive long, triangular, obtuse, and apically pointed cephalic projection. The interocular space is very narrow, lacking sub-parallel margins. In both males and females, there is a noticeable foveate impression near each basal angle of the scutellum. Only males possess two long labral hairs.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Found in muddy ponds, dighi and shallow beel waters. Found in Dhaka.
