Description:
The insect has a slender and ovate body, with a flat ventral surface and a convex, roof-like dorsal surface. The overall coloration is yellowish, displaying some grey and golden reflections. The ventral posterior abdominal part is black. The eyes are large and contiguous, covering a significant portion of the head. The last joint of the antennae is notably longer than the penultimate one. The head lacks any cephalic projection, and the pronotum is trapeziform in shape. The hemelytra (forewings) are hyaline (transparent), and the fore coxae and femur have a black spot. The fore and mid legs possess double claws, while the hind legs lack claws.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
They were found slightly below the surface of shallow ponds, and swamp waters. Found in Dhaka, Chittagong.
