Description:
The mallard is unquestionably the most recognizable waterfowl species worldwide. This well-known duck features a distinctive blue iridescent patch on its wings that is visible in both males and females. Males are particularly notable for their bright green, iridescent head and neck feathers, along with curled black tail feathers. In contrast, females have plain brown plumage.
