Description:
It has elongated and compressed body. Eyes large and scales are small. Lateral line is incomplete with 55-60 scales in the lateral series. Abdomen is rounded. Dorsal profile is more convex than abdominal. Mouth moderate in size. Body coloration: belly whitish; fins hyaline to yellowish.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Occur in rivers, canals, ditches and ponds throughout Bangladesh.
