Description:
It possesses an elongated body with the acetabulum situated in the posterior part of the first quarter of the body. A prepharynx is present, and the pharynx is muscular. Intestinal caeca extend to the posterior end of the body, with the genital pore located just behind the intestinal bifurcation.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is an obligate endoparasite that resides inside the intestine of the small freshwater catfishes like Gulsha, Tengra etc. It is widely distributed in Bangladesh.
