Description:
The body is elongated, narrowing towards the posterior from the acetabulum. The terminal oral sucker is sub-spherical. The ventral sucker is spherical and smaller than the oral sucker. There is no prepharynx; the pharynx is muscular. The oesophagus is short, tubular, and straight or slightly curved.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
The species is an obligate endoparasite that resides inside the intestine of the freshwater fish, Heteropneustes fossilis. It is widely distributed in Bangladesh.
