Description:
The body is elongated and rounded at both ends. The oral sucker is subterminal and larger than the acetabulum. There is no prepharynx; the pharynx is muscular, and the oesophagus is short. The intestinal caeca extend to the posterior end of the body.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
The species is an obligate endoparasite that resides inside the intestine of the freshwater fishes. It is widely distributed in Bangladesh.
