Description:
It is a medium-sized worm with a slightly curved body, occasionally tapering at the ends. The cuticle is smooth. The oral sucker is subterminal and smaller than the acetabulum. There is no prepharynx. The oesophagus is relatively long, bifurcated, and extends to the hind end of the body. The pharynx is well-developed. The acetabulum is located within the anterior quarter of the body and is rounded.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It infects various freshwater fish as an obligate endoparasite. It is widely distributed in Bangladesh.
