Description:
The body is elongated with a smooth cuticle lacking spines. The oral sucker is larger than the acetabulum, and there is no prepharynx or esophagus present. The well-developed pharynx is situated within the anterior quarter of the body, and the acetabulum is rounded.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It primarily infects various freshwater fish as an obligate endoparasite. It is widely distributed in Bangladesh.
