Description:
The shape is linear-elliptical with a slight constriction in the middle and wedge-shaped apices. The valves are intact, and there is no presence of spines or marginal ridges. The size ranges from 35.8 to 59.8 µm in length and 10.8 to 28.4 µm in width. Rows of striae are visible. Auxospore production coincides with biparental sexual reproduction.
