Description:
The body is slender, with a head that is as long as it is broad and an obtusely pointed snout. The dorsal skin is smooth and ranges from dark brown to yellowish or grey, with 4-6 darker lines running from the neck to the anal region. Occasionally, there are whitish spots on the hind thighs. The ventral skin is dusky-white and granular, with dark patches present anterior and posterior to the eye. The limbs have dark crossbars. The fingers are rudimentarily webbed, and the toes are fully webbed, with both having disc-shaped tips.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It inhabits agricultural lands, freshwater wetlands, ponds, ditches, canals etc. It is distributed widely throughout Bangladesh.
