Description:
It has two pairs of glandular head lobes. Four eyespots are situated above and slightly in front of the pharynx. The intestinal crura are laterally confluent behind the testis. The haptor is slightly wider than the body and rhomboid in shape. The cuticle forms circular folds directed forward. There are seven pairs of hooks, each with a protruding, rounded heel. The anchors vary in shape and size.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
This species has been found in the small freshwater fish Darkina. It reaches maturity in the gill filaments of its host. It is commonly distributed in Bangladesh.
