Description:
Allocreadium minutum is very small, with an elongated, oval body and a smooth cuticle. The oral sucker is terminal. There is no prepharynx, but the pharynx is well-developed. The short esophagus bifurcates into two intestinal caeca, which extend to the posterior end. The acetabulum is well-developed and located in the middle of the body.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is an obligate endoparasite and resides in the intestine of the climbing perch, Anabas testudineus. It is found throughout Bangladesh.
