Description:
In the drake, the neck is a deep pink color, while the rest of the body is covered in blackish-brown plumage. The forehead is black, and the bill is pink. The duck has a blackish-brown crown, with a light pink neck and throat, and the rest of its body is a deep brown. The legs are slate to blackish in color.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Former resident, seen in wetlands of Chittagong, Sylhet and Rajshahi division.
