Description:
Male Red-Crested Pochards are noted for their orange-brown heads, reddish beaks, and pale flanks. In contrast, females are less colorful, featuring brown plumage with pale cheeks and bicolored bills. Juveniles are darker overall and have multicolored bellies. The basal metabolic rate for this species is approximately 4.068 watts.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Different wetlands, especially Tanguar haor in Shunamgonj during winter.
