Description:
The male has a blackish cap, white sides of the head and neck, and white underparts, with grayish flanks, glossy green upperparts, and a blackish collar. In non-breeding plumage, the male has more grayish head sides and flanks, a thick eye stripe, and lacks the prominent collar. Females and juveniles look similar to the non-breeding male but have duller, browner plumage.
