Description:
This stocky egret is larger than the Eastern Cattle and Little Egrets, but smaller than the Great Egret. It can be challenging to identify due to its intermediate characteristics. Key features include a yellow bill, shorter than that of the Great Egret but longer than the Eastern Cattle Egret, a relatively rounded head, and shorter legs than the Great Egret, similar to those of the Eastern Cattle Egret. Like most egret species, it is found around various water bodies, including wet fields, and often flocks with other egrets.
