Description:
It has slender body that’s flattened from the sides. It doesn’t have any barbels. The fin colors are quite striking: the back fin (dorsal) is light pinkish, the tail fin (caudal) is reddish, and the pectoral, pelvic, and anal fins are clear. The tail fin is forked. The fish has big eyes and its mouth is positioned at the front of its head. There are two complete orange stripes running along its body: one just above the line of scales on its side (lateral line) and another lower down on its belly (ventro-lateral region). There are also two shorter orange stripes within these complete ones, appearing broken or fractured in the chest area (thoracic region) and near the head (anterior parts). The belly is white, and the rest of the body is greenish, fading to a yellowish-green.
