Description:
Dorsal profile greatly arched above pectoral fin, ventral profile nearly straight. Snout curved downward. Mouth is ventral. Eyes ar; minute. Barbels 4 pairs, 2 rostral, 1 maxillary and 1 mandibular pairs. Pale olive with series of fine dark dots. On dorsal surface and sides of head dark specks more closely aggregated. Narrow irregular pale bars on dorsal surface. A dark streak from eye to snout. Fins whitish with numerous dark transverse bars on their rays.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Widely distributed in streams and lakes of Manipur valley.
