Fin formula: D. II/7; Pi. I/7-8; P2. I/5; A.3/11-12; C. 15. Body is pointed. It has transperant white with a large spot that is divided into 4 lobes on occiput. First dorsal spine is too short. Adipose fin is well-marked and starts far behind from rayed dorsal. Caudal fin is forked. Tip and base of caudal and dorsal fin with black marks.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Occurs in rivers and canals and also torrential streams.
