Description:
It has compressed body. Lateral line is complete with 36-38 scales. Dorsal profile is less convex than that of the the ventral. Barbels are absent. Caudal fisn is deeply forked. Paired fins (pectoral and pelvic fin) have axillary scales. Mouth is directed somewhat upwards. Coloration: Fins are somewhat yellow; dorsal, anal and tail fin (caudal) tinged with red.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Found in clear hill streams with gravelly bottom.
