Description:
It is a medium-sized frog distinguished by its streamlined body and vibrant coloration. The head is longer than wide, with a pointed snout. The dorsal surface is smooth, often displaying a striking yellow or golden hue with darker brown or green markings. The ventral surface is generally white or cream. The limbs are long and slender, with the hind limbs being particularly well-developed for jumping. The fingers are free of webbing, ending in slightly enlarged tips, while the toes are partially webbed, aiding in swimming.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It inhabits forest floors, freshwater wetlands, ponds, paddy fields, ditches, canals etc. It is distributed widely in the Southeast region of Bangladesh.
