Description:
It is small in size. The head length nearly equal to the head width. The snout projects over the lower jaw. The dorsal surface is brownish or greyish, and the ventral surface is whitish. Dorsal tubercles are rounded or slightly oblong and not arranged in rows. The mid-dorsal line is usually absent or, if present, very narrow and indistinct.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It inhabits forest floors, freshwater wetlands, ponds, paddy fields, ditches, canals etc. It is distributed widely throughout Bangladesh.
