Description:
The frog displays a reddish-brown coloration on its back, with a shagreened dorsal skin covered in minute spinules. Its snout is nearly truncate when viewed from both above and below. There is a prominent dark streak extending from the tip of the snout to the lower abdomen. The margins of the upper and lower lip, as well as the limb margins and the dorsal surfaces of the hands and feet, are adorned with ash-grey mottling. The tibiotarsal articulation reaches up to the level of the armpits. Notably, it lacks outer metatarsal tubercles and webbing between the toes.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It inhabits forest floors, freshwater wetlands, ponds, paddy fields, ditches, canals etc. It is distributed widely in the Northeast region of Bangladesh.
