Description:
It is a small species of frog with a round snout and a large, triangular head that is wider than it is long. The nostrils are round, small, and located closer to the snout tip than the eyes. The tympanum is not visible. The underside of the body is smooth, while the back is smooth but slightly granular. The sides of the body are also slightly granular. The arms are fairly long, glandular on the backside, and the fingers are small with flat tips, lacking webbing. The legs are fairly long and smooth on the underside. The toes are long, slender, and have rounded tips with rudimentary webbing.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It inhabits forest floors, freshwater wetlands, ponds, paddy fields, ditches, canals etc. It is distributed in the Lalmonirhat and Rangpur of Bangladesh.
