Description:
The skin of this frog is smooth, with a dorsal surface ranging from golden-yellow to light brown or dark brown, while the ventral surface is almost white. The throat is somewhat dirty-white with a straight white mark in the middle. It has a distinct, transparent, circular, and large tympanum. The fingers are free, each with a pear-shaped disc at the tip, and the second finger is longer than the first. Males can be distinguished from females by having black lateral sides, often scattered with blackish patches on the back, and a faint band on the legs.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
The species is semi-aquatic and typically inhabits the edges of hill forest streams. In Bangladesh, it is commonly found in forest streams within the Chittagong Hill Tracts region.
