Description:
The lorica takes on a sub-hexagonal shape and varies in color from yellow to dark brown. Its lateral margin features a median groove and a hump. The anterior end tapers into a long neck, measuring 6 µm in length and 8-10 µm in width, while the posterior end extends into a long caudus, measuring 15 µm in length. The cell wall has a rough texture, adorned with large warts.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Occurs in small, stagnant, and slow-flowing waters.
