Description:
The shell is cone-shaped, boasting 5.5 rounded coils that protrude outward and are distinctly defined by a deep groove. The apex, situated at the top, is small and sharply pointed. Each coil is slightly flattened where they meet at the groove. The center of the shell is hollow, forming an open umbilicus. The opening of the shell is oval-shaped, with a slight angle at the upper portion. When viewed from the side, the edge of the opening has a subtle wavy pattern. The surface of the shell is sleek, marked by delicate lines indicating its growth.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Found in stagnant freshwater like ponds, lakes, pools ditches or small sluggish streams The species was also found in shallow parts of rivers and occasionally found in well depth 2-3m of river. Abundant in B. Baria, Comilla, Habiganj, Sylhet District.
