A small aquatic mollusk characterized by a circular foot. The shell is ovate and not highly pointed, with a distinct, conical spire that is not prominently pointed. The body whorl is significantly inflated and slightly compressed, featuring a large aperture that is ovate and moderately expanded. The shell is dextral, and its outer lip is nearly straight, lacking an operculum. The head bears a pair of flattened, non-invaginable triangular tentacles with eyes located at the base. The radula has a central tooth that is unicuspid. There are 4-5 whorls in the shell. The exterior color is typically dark greenish, occasionally appearing reddish, while the aperture is blackish-white. On average, the shell measures 19 mm in length, 10 mm in width, with an aperture length of 13 mm and an aperture width of 7 mm. When parasitized by larval trematodes, Lymnaea spp. tends to increase in size.
