Description:
The body is elliptical to oval and covered in spines. The acetabulum is relatively small and located in the anterior half of the body. The esophagus is short, and the caeca extend well into the posterior region. Testes are symmetrical, postacetabular, or situated near the posterior end. The genital pore is marginal, positioned between the two suckers. The ovary is ventral, either medial or lateral to the right caecum in the acetabular zone.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It inhabits the intestines of the freshwater fishes, Ompok bimaculatus and O. pabda.It is found throughout Bangladesh.
