Description:
It has an elongated body, narrower at both the anterior and posterior ends, with a slightly broad mid-region. The head features three pairs of head organs and two pairs of eyespots. The oval, muscular pharynx is situated below the united intestinal caeca and testis. The anchor wings are curved on the left side, and there are 14 hooks.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is an obligate parasite specific to barbs and silon catfish. It is commonly found in freshwater fishes of Bangladesh.
