Description:
Dactylogyrus minutus is very small in size. The tube of the copulatory organ has a small base, narrowing and tapering towards the end. The basic portion of the median hooks is slightly bent in the middle.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is an obligate parasite of carp fish, reaching sexual maturity within the gill filaments of its host. It is commonly found in freshwater fishes of Bangladesh.
