Procamallanus cancilus has a slender body with a truncated anterior end and a blunt posterior end, and its transverse striations are very prominent. In females, the body length is several millimeters, with a width slightly less than half a millimeter. The buccal capsule in females is long and broad, with the anterior rim featuring twenty ridge-like elements, while the buccal floor is smooth and lacks tridents. The oesophagus is divided into two parts: a muscular section and a glandular section, both of considerable length in females. The vulva is located in the posterior half of the body, a significant distance from the anterior end. The tail is simple and relatively short. Females are viviparous, with the uteri containing numerous larvae and eggs.
