These nematodes have an oral aperture that is hexagonal to oval, surrounded by four submedian sublabia, four small submedian cephalic papillae, and a pair of lateral amphids. The prostom is barrel-shaped with distinct basal teeth, and its anterior margin is internally armed with eight fairly large, forwardly directed teeth—two dorsal, two ventral, and two on each side. The vestibule is long, with small, bifurcate deirids situated at the posterior half. The tail of both sexes is conical with a truncated tip, seemingly forming two minute posteriorly oriented spikes, but in reality, this is a ring of elevated cuticle with a sharp edge, bearing about three thickenings. A small terminal mucron with many minute spine-like projections arises from the middle of the mentioned cuticular ring.
