The body is oval and elongated, exhibiting a slight dorso-ventral flattening. The beak is triangular, exceptionally short, and lacks segmentation, resembling the apex of the head. The fore tarsi are flat and scoop-shaped, featuring a fringe of stiff setae. The hind legs are adapted for swimming, resembling oars. The hemelytra display a pattern in shades of gray or dark green, characterized by a reticulate, checkered, or banded design. The wing exhibits a trapezoidal shape, characterized by the presence of axillary sclerites and a basal section of AA3+4 that is notably broader towards the distal end compared to its proximal part. There is a distinct posterior distal convexity in CuA, while AA3 displays an anterodistal convexity. Additionally, an incision is observed along the anojugal margin. Minimal intraspecific variability in venation is observed, primarily in the reduction of the terminal portion of AA4 and AP1+2.
