Description:
Larva: The head is not significantly longer than it is wide, with short antennae approximately 4 times the length of the head. The basal segment of the antennae is about 6-8 times longer than the apical segments, with three apical segments and an antennal blade present. The second segment of the antennae may bear 1-3 sensory papillae known as lautreborn organs, and the blade may have a basal rod. The last lateral tooth, which is bifid, is often curved into the vertical plane and may appear as a single tooth. The hypopharyngeal sclerite, or lingua, possesses 5 teeth, with the median or mesal 3 teeth being the longest. The superlinguae have 2-9 long teeth on the outer side. The mandible features an apical tooth, 2-3 small laterals, and a broad base. The body is adorned with a lateral hair fringe, and the sixth segment may bear fringed, hook-like anal gills numbering 4 or 6. The anal papillae have a simple apicodorsal hair and a bifid or plumose basal structure. The claws of the posterior prolegs are yellow, and the smallest teeth may be modified.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
The larvae appear to prefer a soft mud bottom, also prefer a bottom of sand and glacial.

Comments:
They are semi aquatic. Larvae are hatched in water. But they fly away when they got matured.
