Description:
The insect has a size ranging from 10 to 12 mm, featuring a slender and elongated body. The dorsal side is dark brown, while the ventral side is paler. The head bears black dots, and the hemelytra (forewings) and apices of the femora are piceous. There is a slender longitudinal central line that extends behind the eyes up to the pronotum. The distance between the tip of the head and the pronotum is twice that between the eye and the pronotum. The antennae are 4-jointed, and the hemelytra extend up to the 5th abdominal segment.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
mostly found on or near the edge of ponds, dighi and swamp or on floating or emergent vegetation. Found in Dhaka, Chittagong.

Comments:
They are semi aquatic. Larvae are hatched in water. But they fly away when they got matured.
