The carapace is notably large and tall. A dorsal hump distinguishes the long posterior mid-length. Females closely resemble males but are slightly more elongated. The whitish body is adorned with rigid setae and tiny pits.

Commonly found in the rivers, lakes, haors, and other fresh waterbodies of Bangladesh.
