Description:
It is oval in shape, with a carapace that appears somewhat square. It is nearly translucent with a hint of green or yellow. The carapace is as wide as it is long, broad at the base but narrowing sharply towards the end. It possesses a sizable head, constituting about one-fourth of its body, and large eyes. There are no teeth at the base of the abdominal claw.

Commonly found in the rivers, lakes, haors, and other fresh waterbodies of Bangladesh.
