The body has an oval shape with a small and flattened head. It features a horn-like projection on the front edge and a pointed structure on the lower side. The shell has a rounded shape on both the top and bottom surfaces, and it displays a pattern of hexagonal reticulations.

Commonly found in the rivers, lakes, haors, and other fresh waterbodies of Bangladesh.
