The anterodorsal margin features a notch that is semicircular in shape. In terms of dimensions, the dorsal plate typically ranges from 200 to 270 µm in length, while the ventral plate measures between 170 and 250 µm in length, with the toes spanning from 50 to 75 µm in length. Width-wise, the dorsal plate varies from 90 to 189 µm, while the ventral plate ranges from 80 to 105 µm. This species is most commonly found in eutrophic environments and has been observed attached to colonies of Chlorella and Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. Its diet includes bacteria, green algae, and diatoms.
