Description:
The lorica of this organism is broadly ovate, measuring between 200 and 270 µm in length, including the foot and toes. At the anterior end of the lorica, there are two long and curved spines accompanied by two short spines on each side. The ventral margin exhibits a V-shaped sinus. Typically, it is brownish or yellow-brown in color, with a rounded posterior margin. The foot consists of two segments, but only one extends beyond the lorica. A single fused toe is present, which is slender and parallel-sided, showing faint annular constrictions. The pointed claws feature basal spines.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Commonly found in rivers in Bangladesh, such as the Halda River.
