Description:
This fish features a postorbital stripe that extends behind the eye, aligning with the preorbital stripe. Males exhibit a series of double bars confined to the upper half of the body. It lacks a caudal peduncle blotch and a horizontal suborbital stripe, and it does not have palatine teeth. The dorsal fin comprises 13-15 spines and 6-8 soft rays, while the anal fin includes 3 spines and 6-8 soft rays. The vertebrae count ranges from 24 to 26.

Found in small, shallow pool with stagnant to slow-flowing water
