Description:
This perennial aquatic herb is characterized by its rhizomatous growth habit. The upper surface of the leaves is greenish and glabrous, while the lower surface is purple and pubescent. The flowers are large, showy, and crimson-red in color.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
This plant typically thrives in stagnant inland water bodies, ponds, and lakes. It is widely distributed throughout Bangladesh.
