Description:
It is a tuberous aquatic herb exhibits both submerged and floating leaves. The submerged leaves can be transparent or opaque, cuneate, or round at both ends, with undulate margins. Meanwhile, the floating leaves are leathery, with a rounded or cordate base and a cuneate apex. Its inflorescence is a laxly flowered spike, with white flowers. The fruit is a follicle with a short terminal beak.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
This plant typically inhabits freshwater ponds, ditches, and beels. In Bangladesh, it is primarily found in the eastern and southern regions of the country.
